I am only sorry that I could not stay for the party - people were just getting warmed up when I had to leave.
Once the party started, I hope you could relax and join in.
Diabetes UK are extremely grateful for the support from the Friends, not only in raising funds,
but in establishing a relationship which we can develop in the future - once our new Diversity
Officer starts in August and has had a chance to settle in, I will pass your name to her, and I
am sure she will be in touch.
Thank you again - and please pass on my thanks to everyone at the Friends.
Kind regards
Penny-Fundraising Manager Diabetes UK South East

Just to say I did enjoy Saturday.
The First singer and the gospel singer were good but the second singer (Ester)
was the best.
The Salsa lession went on too long and the dancing started a bit late.
The venue was very nice. The singers, particularly the two ladies were incredible. (WOW!)
The comedian was very funny ! (even though my husband sulked because we were all wetting ourselves and he could not understand a word!!).
It was lovely to see so many people had really made the effort, lots of handsome men and beautiful frocked ladies. We felt very welcome.
Met lots of really lovely people. There was a really positive vibe all night.
The music could have been a bit more updated as well as the ole skool.
The menu could have had more of a Caribbean theme (or the chicken more colour & seasoning).
I thought I would write to say how much I enjoyed the Ball on Saturday. I have absolutely no complaints
or any thing negative to say about the evening. Well done!
I’ve been to many Balls over the years, the main one is the Jamaica Basic School, which is held every year in London during the month of November.
Other Balls are held by Advertising and Insurance companies etc.
The reason I am mentioning these other Balls is to let you know that the one you and your team organised was right up there with the best of them.
In some cases much better.
Having the music while we ate was perfect. Not only were we rocking and swaying we were singing along and "naming that tune"
I think there was only one tune we were not able to name. I’m sure we were eating in time to the music too!!
The evening was sophisticated, entertaining and full of laughter. I just did not want it to be over. I am so looking forward to the next one!!!
Congratulations to you and your team for an evening well done!
Regards Annette
